This model is loosely inspired by the illustration of the nose of the Lancaster NX611 "Just Jane", one of the rare Avro Lancaster aircraft still in service. Just Jane" takes its name from the World War II comic strip "Jane", whose adventures usually ended with her losing most of her clothes. Jane originally wore a one-piece swimsuit, but the comic's original model, Chrystabel Leighton-Porter, requested that she be repainted as a two-piece, because Jane would never have worn a one-piece!
NX611 currently resides in Lincolnshire, UK, aka "Bomber County", at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, where she performs taxi rides for visitors.
